3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) announced today that it has acquired Rapid Product Development Group, Inc. ("RPDG"), a provider of on-demand additive and traditional manufacturing services.
3D Systems plans to integrate RPDG's service into its growing Quickparts services immediately.
San Diego based RPDG was founded in 2003 by a team of industry veterans, with expertise in Injection Molding, CNC machining, Die Casting, Model Making and Rapid Prototyping.
RPDG's workforce consists of more than 350 employees deployed across their ISO-registered operations in the US, Mexico, China and the UK. With over 150,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities worldwide, RPDG provides Rapid Prototyping, Tooling and Production services to customers.
In connection with the acquisition of RPDG, the company raised its 2013 annual revenue and non-GAAP earnings per share guidance to revenue in the range of $460 million to $510 million and non-GAAP EPS in the range of $1.05 to $1.20 per share.
