After 3D printing with Air-Dry Clays, Plasticines, RTV, Play-Doh, Atlanta-based Hyrel 3D is back again with a new material: Sugru, a self-setting Rubber.
Sugru, an extremely versatile self-setting Rubber, has been successfully 3D printed with the HYREL Emulsifiable Extruder (EMO-25). This material opens up an entirely new door for manufacturing and prototyping.
For example, now, by adding Sugru into the 3D printing process, you can 3D print a Rubber gasket into a 3D model. With the ability to 3D print with four extruder heads at once, the HYREL 3D Printer Engine can deliver four different materials into your 3D print - with a combination of any 3D printable materials, including plastics (ABS, PLA, etc.), clays, Silicone RTV, and now Sugru.
Watch the video below HYREL 3D - 3D Printing with Sugru.
