At the 9th China International pension and medical rehabilitation Fair, Qingdao Unique Technology and the 9th People's Hospital Affiliated Shanghai Jiaotong University jointly presented their newest Bioprinter: Anyprint B01CS, the 2rd generation of its 3D bioprinter.
Anyprint B01CS uses living cells, high polymer materials and natural bio-materials as printing materials. By using 4 nozzles and multi-materials printing technology, the Anyprint B01CS is capable of printing living cells and supporting materials simutaneously. The bio materials are developed by Unique Technology itself, keeping the totally cost very low.
"We printed fat tissue stem cells and cornea stromal stem cells a week ago. The cells cultured from these cells have survived for nine days, and they still remain active," said Wang Hong, the CEO of Qingdao Unique. The cell viability has reached 92%, stated the company.
Currently Anyprint B01CS could fabricate cartilage tissue and bio scaffolds, and Qingdao Unique expects that the company would be able to print out cornea and blood vessels within the next five years.
This multi-metarial, multi-functional 3D bio printer is priced at RMB150,000 (USD24,500 / EUR 19,000). Delivery time is within 1 month.
