Berlin based company Staramba, who specialize in the manufacturing of full color 3D printed figurines, and who are notable for releasing the first ever 3D printed Pope figurine to commemorate Pope Francis’ historic trip to the United States earlier this year, have released a new set of 3D printed models. Especially exciting for heavy metal fans, Staramba have released a 3D printed figurine of the Metal Queen herself, Doro Pesch, as well as her bandmates, Johnny Dee (drums), Nick Douglas (bass), Bas Maas (guitar), Luca Princiotta (guitar), and Harrison Young (keyboards).
The company behind the 3D printed Doro release are also known for their full-color, extremely realistic customized 3D printed figurines, which are more commonly known as “3D selfies”.
Doro Pesch, a German singer-songwriter, known by her fans as the Metal Queen, has been a strong presence in the hard-rock and heavy metal scenes since the early 1980s. She has played over 2,800 shows with her band internationally, and continues to perform worldwide.

The band’s detailed, realistic and full-colored figurines can be purchased as a set in the scale of 1:20 for 195 Euros, or a scale of 1:15 for 350 Euros. Each band member can also be ordered separately in a range of sizes (from 1:20 ratio to 1:7) from 30 Euros for the smallest to 295 Euros. The set also includes a baseplate on which the band members can be placed as well as background.
The 3D printed figurines are made from full color sandstone and their accuracy is thanks to Staramba’s 3D scanning technology, which is based off of photogrammetry. That is, the scans are achieved by using a number of single lens reflex cameras that generate a 360-degree photo from which the prints are based. The figures are printed on a full-color 3D printer and once the printing is complete they undergo a series of finishing touches all done by hand.
Bas Maas
“The figures became absolutely super,” says Doro of the models, “It’s a really interesting experience to hold yourself in your hands suddenly. I’m sure that the fans will love these new figures and they will get them all for their homes.”
The models of Doro Pesch and her band mark the third series of figures based on rock acts released by Staramba. The others include Linkin Park, and Slash.

This is exciting news for fans of the Metal Queen, Doro Pesch, who may have previously had posters of her hung up in their homes. Now, like Linkin Park and Slash fans, they have the rare opportunity to possess realistically detailed figures of Doro and her band mates to admire as well!
