Shining 3D, one of China’s leading 3D printing companies, is preparing to launch its latest product. Geared towards the dentistry market, the new AutoScan-DS-EX 3D dental scanner will be launched on September 1, 2017.
According to Shining 3D, its new 3D scanner is compact, lightweight, and is reasonably priced, making it the “ideal scanning solution for any dental bureau” or dental labs with limited space. The scanner also incorporates a fully open structure, which makes it easy to operate.
“The extraordinary dental 3D scanner AutoScan-DS-EX brings incredible benefits to the dental labs and the vocational education of dental technology with its intuitive design and automatic work-flow,” commented Li Tao, CEO of Shining 3D. “The most exciting thing is that you can own it at a very appealing price.”
Perhaps one of the AutoScan-DS-EX 3D scanner’s most notable features is its modularity. That is, users can easily remove and install detachable modules to the scanner, making it easier to replace certain parts. This also enables the device to perform multiple scanning functions, including articulator scanning, triple-tray impression scanning, and texture scanning.
The new scanner, says the Chinese company, allows dental professionals to cut back on time by offering an “optimal data post-processing option through LAN networks.” This feature makes it possible to 3D scan and process data on separate computers.
Earlier this year, Shining 3D launched the EinScan-Pro+ handheld 3D scanner and the Einstart-C desktop 3D printer, two products which gained it much attention. The 3D scanner, a follow-up to its original Einscan Pro 3D scanner, is lauded for its high-quality scans and ease of use.
The new AutoScan-DS-EX 3D dental scanner promises fast speeds (an upper/lower jaw scan should only take 42 seconds), an accuracy of <15 μm, and a camera resolution of 1,300,000. The Shining 3D team will be showcasing its newest dentistry product at an AutoScan-DS-EX introduction workshop held in India from July 28 to August 3.
The new 3D scanner, which is set to officially launch on September 1, will soon be available for pre-order at a special price. Other dental 3D printing products offered by Shining 3D include the high-end AutoScan-DS300, the ultra fast AutoScan-DS200+, the AutoScan-DS100+, and Exocad Dental CAD, a OEM branded dental CAD software.
